Pioneer Day... City of Indy style...

Here is a few snapshots from a day to celebrate our LDS (Mormon) pioneers. Sometimes its a celebration in itself to just to get away and enjoy friends. A few games, relays and tons of laughs... I imagine we still celebrate in the same fashion of the pioneers of ol'.

This post is a bit of a parting memory for us as our family prepares to leave the town of Independence this week for a new homefront in Kentucky. It will be hard for us to leave this place. Thanks for the laughs...

James and I were in charge of a ward activity for Pioneer Day. It didn't turn out very well, though not from a lack of planning. For one thing, it poured (our venue was the park). For another, the band we had hired for live entertainment never showed, but we learned later it was due to a serious car accident on the way to our party. Then, all the games we had planned (i.e. water balloon vollely ball) were useless, as well as the 400 popsicles.

Your day at the lake looks like it was a lot more fun!
