Our Many Faces {of Halloween}...

Okay I am on my 3rd box of Kleenex, and praying for NyQuil to fall from the sky. And despite it all, I am here to share our festive fun from Halloween. Ain't I sweet!

Well it isn't a moment too soon, 'cause my mama has already reminded me that these pictures were due. Won't my mama be so proud of me...

Well, Halloween had all sorts of fun to be had... we brewed up some Martinelli's (from WalMart), I stewed, brewed and baked a NEW FAVE, Buffalo Nachos... move over Rachel Ray!! We cut, carved and depulped the pumpkins with some dear friends that have proven to be Godsent to Kentucky the same week we arrived here. They are sooooo ODD, but we wouldn't have had it any other way!! We had some trickin and treatin, and then said a few spells to send the kiddos sleepy to their beds. It was an evening for the mamas and papas then, to enjoy some movie reeling before calling it a night.

Love to all,...

Holiday

You will find this as one of several posts that include the girls outside in their Halloween costumes. These were my favorite memories of Halloween, before the holiday even came, to run wild with my imagination and my newfound disguise. The girls had their chance last Wednesday after some Trick or Treat fun at Daddy's work. High Five to Amazon.com for taking care of their employees and their families.

If this is what it takes to create some imagination and enjoy a little make-believe then why not try on the characters and costumes, the masks and disguises more often. No need to wait for the holiday right... hmmmm, makes me wanna be a little girl again!

Ladybugs ladybugs everywhere...

Did you ever dress up in your costume? Before Halloween, with all the tricks and treats? Those were my favorite memories of my costumes. Prancing around in my own imagination... well I am here sharing a few here. Okay multiply that substantially and you with find multiple posts on our costumes at play.

So it was while we were out at play that Hannah found the migration of the ladybugs had landed amongst the trees and autumn yellowed leaves near St Andrews. If you click on the picture just below here you should be able to see the many ladybugs gathering here... it was magical!

Costumes AT PLAY

This is the second of two posts... well it will be the second of several posts from an afternoon of playing in our costumes after the Amazon.com trick or treat last week. Wanna know what I dressed up as? I will give you three guesses and the first two don't count! Why... a photo-graphen-mama of course. These girls make my life a dream.

Fairy or angel? Depends on whether we get a nap in!
She will try her damndest to convince you she is both!

Jitterbug or freestylin'... take your pick...

Oh watch this...

Oh YEAH!! That's my girl! I don't know what tickles me more... hearing Sara Kate's gut-wrenching giggle as she flies up through the air, or Hannah's face as she pushes her sister further and further through the air...

What was this? Captain Butterfly I suppose... AT EASE Madame Butterfly!!

Neewollah Kiddie Parade

How many towns can boast of a parade just for the kiddies? Well we have it here in Kansas to celebrate the annual Neewollah festivities in October... there truly is no place like home!
